31 DAYS was an an Exhibition of the Artists work held at William's Art, Gwydir Street, Cambridge in May 2010. The exhibition featured 31 paintings of sky inspired by 31 photographs the Artist had taken during May 2009. The exhibition coincided with the launch of Skylogue, a catalogue of sky featuring a photograph of the sky for every day of the year taken by the artist. See the Skylogue web page on the right for more information about the book and images.
” People say that I paint the sky which is of course true, I prefer to think that I am also painting time. Using my camera to help me I catch the some of the moments that people miss. People are interested in my work perhaps because of the significance of certain dates in their memory or because of their experience of the enormity of the sky. I feel like my work is never done, really this exhibition is just the start. Even just trying to represent the changes in the sky in just one day would be an impossible task, the sky is immense, in terms of space and time it is beyond our reach.”
